About Our School

Dreams Take Flight.

Stone Creek Elementary was made possible thanks to the community support of the 2018 Bond and began serving students in August 2020. The 82,000-square-foot building was constructed to hold multiple classes per grade level, designated spaces for specials, six resource rooms, two learning hubs, an outdoor learning/eating area and a community room. Additionally, the school is equipped with enhanced security features including a secured vestibule entrance, controlled entry access, a comprehensive camera system and emergency doors. Two instructional hallways (Kindergarten-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade) allow additional space for collaborative work amongst students in all rooms. Hallways have small group work stations for academic and special services support time. Neighboring classrooms are connected by a “Breakout Room”. Students can use this space to engage in team projects, connect with subject experts virtually using a Smart TV or as a reward area for work of their choice.

Natural light from windows and beautiful skylights provide spaces warmth, creating a more relaxed environment. The outdoor eating center provides a break from academics and promotes social interaction.

Our objective at Stone Creek is to offer students choice and movement in their academic day. Through data and performance, teachers adjust lessons to meet student needs. In Kindergarten-3rd grade, students may work in cross-grade level groups on projects related to Science, Social Studies, Community Service or Art. In 4th and 5th grade, students explore real-world questions through Project Based Learning (PBL) to ignite their creativity and curiosity. In all, students have a choice in how they learn and are able to control how far they go!

Community Wing
Stone Creek’s Community Room is open for presentations, adult classes or other types of organizations. Connecting with leaders outside of our school helps plant the seed for our students’ dreams to take flight.

Learning Hubs
Unique to Stone Creek, each instructional wing has a Learning Hub to support various activities. Younger students may be lead in story time, science lessons, art or coding. Older students might collaborate on a community project, crawl into a reading nook or code with robots.

Jets Flight Deck
In the front atrium, you will find our control tower. Stone Creek Jets step onto the runway of their future each time they enter the building. Here they will set their course, check their map, look to their instructors for support and take off on adventures that open the doors to their future.
